Across the UK, members of ABCP organised a number of in-person gatherings at multiple sites (London, Birmingham, Newcastle, Belfast, and Glasgow) to celebrate the 2024 Chinese New Year (CNY).
London
Members of the Greater London and Surrounding Areas gathered gathered together at the event on 17th February 2024 Saturday, on the UCL’s London campus, to celebrate 2024 CNY.
Birmingham
Members of the ABCP Midlands Area, together with the Association of Chinese Scholars at the University of Birmingham, organised an in-person celebration event for the 2024 CNY. The event took place on 24th February 2024 Saturday, at Moor pool hall, Birmingham.
Newcastle
Regional coordinators of the ABCP in North East England area organised a networking event to celebrate the 2024 CNY. The event was held on 23 February 2024 Friday, at Happiness Inn, Newcastle.
Belfast
Regional coordinators of the ABCP Northern Ireland organised an Academic Salon and Celebration event to celebrate the 2024 CNY. The event was held on 17th February 2024 Saturday, at Ternary Chinese Restaurant (三元里), 75 Donegall Pass, Belfast.
Glasgow
Members of the ABCP in Scotland organised a workshop to provide inspiration and support, especially for early career researchers to grow collaborative and impactful projects in healthcare. This workshop was followed by a social networking event and gathering for the CNY Celebration. The series of events unfolded on 16th February 2024 Saturday, at Wolfson Centre, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow.
