  • November 2023: Jointly with the Nanjing University, the ABCP co-organised WAFAST 2023 (World Academicians’ Forum on Advanced Science and Technology) in Suzhou, China, 4-6 November, 2023.
  • July 2023: The 2023 4th ABCP Annual Conference was successfully held on 7th July Friday and 8th July Saturday at the University of Manchester and online as a hybrid event. See the ABCP 2023 conference web page for more details about the programme and .
  • July 2023: Professor Hua Dong (董华教授), Co-Chair of the ABCP AIG (Academic Interest Group) on Creative Industries and Head of Brunel Design School at the Brunel University London, has successfully secured funding from the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) for an ambitious project, the SEED Fellowship, to explore the establishment of a UK-China Creative Industries Research and Innovation Hub. About Us

ABCP WeChat official accountABCP (Association of British Chinese Professors, 全英华人教授协会) is an independent and non-profit association dedicated to increasing its members’ impact and engaging in academic collaboration, in particular collaboration between the UK and China. ABCP members represent the highest calibre of Chinese academics in the UK across many fields. The missions of ABCP are:

  1. to promote academic excellence in education, engineering, social and physical sciences, medicine and emerging areas;
  2. to stimulate academic collaboration between members and beyond;
  3. to develop and new talents and provide mentorship to young academics;
  4. to promote Sino-UK communication and collaboration in a wide range of disciplines;
  5. to provide expert advice to policy-makers both in the UK and China to advance bilateral relations for the benefit of peoples of both countries.
