- July 2024: Jointly with the Nanjing University, the ABCP co-organised WAFAST 2024 (2nd World Academicians’ Forum on Advanced Science and Technology) in Suzhou, China, 10-12 July, 2024.
- July 2024: The 2024 5th ABCP Annual Conference was successfully on 5th July Friday at the University of Leicester and online as a hybrid event. See the ABCP 2024 conference web page for more details about the Conference.
- April 2024: ABCP 2024 Chinese New Year (CNY) celebrations held across the UK. See here for a news report.
- March 2024: Professor Hongbiao Dong (董洪标教授) FREng, President of ABCP and Professor at University of Leicester, will lead an EPSRC-funded CDT (Centre for Doctoral Training) to Fuse AI into Metals Industry. See here for a more detailed news report.

About Us
ABCP (Association of British Chinese Professors, 全英华人教授协会) is an independent and non-profit association dedicated to increasing its members’ impact and engaging in academic collaboration, in particular collaboration between the UK and China. ABCP members represent the highest calibre of Chinese academics in the UK across many fields. The Association has set up an official account on WeChat; please subscribe to it by scanning the QR-code to the right.
The missions of ABCP are:
- to promote academic excellence in education, engineering, social and physical sciences, medicine and emerging areas;
- to stimulate academic collaboration between members and beyond;
- to develop and new talents and provide mentorship to young academics;
- to promote Sino-UK communication and collaboration in a wide range of disciplines;
- to provide expert advice to policy-makers both in the UK and China to advance bilateral relations for the benefit of peoples of both countries.
