It’s increasingly recognised by funding councils that engaging with the UK Parliament is a great way towards research impact. But how can academics develop the competence to engage with policymakers? This webinar helps academic to understand ways to work with the Parliament. We also provide hand-on practices for academics who wish to support better policy through the Select Committee of the UK Parliament.
The joint BAM-ABCP webinar will help attendees to gain greater understanding about how to prepare accessible written evidences for the Select Committee and how to communicate effectively when invited to Parliament. Delivered by senior academics engaged in cutting edge research, the session aims to develop competence of attendees to engage with policymakers effectively. There will also be opportunities to discuss ways to get the best out of the process and networking with fellow academics, and other management researchers, all in one place.
ABCP members who are interested in wider impacts of their work via the UK Parliament are highly recommended to attend.
The event speaks to Sections A1, A3, C1, C2, C3, D1, D3 and E3 as detailed in the BAM Framework, so ABCP members working on management-related topics can check if any of these sections of the BAM Framework interest them.
