Abstract

This panel discussion will see three Full Members of ABCP who have all won a grant from the 2023-24 UKRI cross research council responsive mode pilot scheme – round 1. Their successful projects are among 36 ones sharing a total investment of £32.4m from UKRI. Their projects are:

  • BeefTwin: AI powered digital twin for sustainable beef farming (led by Professor Xiao Ma)
  • Satellite-Aided Technologies for advancing resilience: Guarding energy services under climate hazards, risks, and disasters (SAT-Guard) (led by Professor Hongjian Sun)
  • High resolution molecular profiling platform to investigate the role of tumour microbiota in anti-tumour immunity (led by Professor Huabing Yin)

By sharing their experience in leading a successful bid for the round 1 call, we hope that more Chinese academics can be successful in the round 2 call, whose outline phase deadline is will 19th November 2024. We also hope the experience shared will help more Chinese academics to prepare other successful grant applications.
