This guidance is created to help existing and prospective ABCP members to decide what to do on 2020 membership registration/renewal and attendance registration for the ABCP 2020 Annual Conference (“the Conference” hereinafter). Please read the general rules and one of the following relevant section depending on your personal situation.

General information

  • Members who will not attend the Conference should pay the relevant membership fee (£50 for Full Members or £25 for Associate Members).
  • ABCP members are entitled to a reduced registration fee for the Conference, which is £50, not £100 (the regular fee for non-members).
  • By the early registration deadline (31st January 2020), members who will have registered for attending the Conference need to pay only in total £50 in one of the following three ways: 1) pay the Full Membership fee of £50, 2) pay the reduced members-only registration fee for the Conference of £50, or 3) pay the Associate Membership fee of £25 plus a special registration fee for the Conference of £25.
  • After the early registration deadline (31st January 2020), members who still want to attend the Conference will need to pay in total £100 because the registration fees for all (including members) will be doubled. This guidance will be updated on the above deadline to reflect any new ways to pay.

If you are a (Full or Associate) Member but haven’t paid your 2020 membership fee

What you should do will depend on if you have decided to attend the Conference:

If you are a current (Full or Associate) Member and have paid your 2020 membership fee, and now want to attend the Conference

What you should do depends on your membership type:

If you are not a member, want to attend the Conference and also join the ABCP as a (Full or Associate) member in 2020

If you are eligible as a Full Member, please take the following actions sequentially:

  1. Register as a Full Member and pay the membership fee of £50.
  2. Contact contact@abcp.org.uk to activate your account.
  3. Log into your user account created together with your membership registration.
  4. Register to attend the Conference as an ABCP member but do NOT pay (because you have paid a 2020 membership fee of £50 and now you are exempted from paying the Conference registration fee).

Otherwise, if you are eligible as an Associate Member (but not as a Full Member), please take the following actions sequentially:

  1. Register as an Associate Member, but do NOT pay.
  2. Contact contact@abcp.org.uk to activate your account.
  3. Log into your user account created together with your membership registration.
  4. Register to attend the Conference as an ABCP member and pay the registration fee of £50.

If you have already over-paid (in total more than £50 on or before 01/31/2020 or £100 after 01/31/2020)

Please contact us at contact@abcp.org.uk via email for 1) refund or 2) to donate your over-payment to the ABCP.

For the auditing purposes, please write from your email address registered for your membership for such communications. You can contact us on WeChat for informal conversations, but formal requests must be sent via email so we can have a proper auditing trail.
