DESCRIPTION:This event is organised by the EDI Working Group of ABCP as part of its “每月一谈” (“EDI Monthly Talk”) series. \nSpeaker\n\nProfessor Henry Yi Li (李翼教授)\, Professor in Textile Science and Engineering\, University of Manchester & Vice-President for Events\, ABCP\n\nProfessor Yi Li\, a Life Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts\, is also a Fellow of the Institute of Materials\, Minerals\, and Mining and the Textile Institute. Recognised among the global top 2% of scientists (2022–2024\, Elsevier)\, he is a prolific inventor with 56 granted patents and 41 intellectual properties transferred to industry. His team’s high-performance sportswear has been commercialised worldwide\, including at the 2008 Beijing and 2012 London Olympics. Among his many accolades is the 2024 Innovate Textile Award. \nFacilitator\n\nDr Hua Zhong (钟华博士)\, Associate Professor in Sustainable Built Environment\, London South Bank University & Member of Working Group on EDI\, ABCP\n\nLanguage\nThe panel discussion will be in Chinese. \nAbstract\nGenerating impact is increasingly crucial in academics’ research and academic careers\, taking many forms.
