Abstract:

Professor Xiaowei Huang

With the popularity of GPT and Sora, generative AI (GenAI) has become a new wave in AI for its ability to engage end-users in human-level conversations. This talk will address the safety issues surrounding GenAI and its applications. We will begin by reviewing AI safety topics in deep learning, then explore new safety concerns introduced by GenAI. Additionally, we will briefly discuss the current state-of-the-art solutions for AI/GenAI safety and conclude with a discussion on emerging technical trends in this field.
